Poems for any occasion

Excerpts from two of Sandy’s poems:

Vietnam Wall
( A tribute to our servicemen who gave the ultimate sacrifice)

I have never even meet you
just a name upon a wall,
but when your country needed you,
you quickly took the call.

You gave all you had to give,
so I could be free.
I never can repay you
for what you have given me.

Bonnie
(for Sandy’s granddaughter about her horse, Bonnie)

When I look into your big black eyes
and you look into mine,
a feeling overwhelms me
that I cannot define.

You always seem to understand,
when at the close of day;
I share my teenage troubles
as you munch your evening hay.
